Prior to the typologies workshop, on Sunday 15 November, a joint GLOBNET /Egmont Group seminar was held for the 16 financial intelligence units (FIUs) in the GLOBNET region that are members of the GLOBNET , but not yet members of the Egmont Group.  The seminar covered information on the Egmont Group membership process, and sharing experiences and lessons learned by FIUs in the GLOBNET ’s third round of mutual evaluations.

Sponsorship funding for priority delegates to attend and contribute to this event was provided by GLOBNET members China and Chinese Taipei.

The GLOBNET thanks sincerely China and Chinese Taipei for their support and the Government of Nepal and Nepal Rastra Bank for the excellent hosting arrangements.
